An ipod Speaker dock thingy. The thing is going to the South Bank next Monday, [livejournal.com profile] ultraruby posted a really good entry and photos about the Hayward's Psychogeography (http://www.southbankcentre.co.uk/visual-arts/hayward-exhibitions/psycho-buildings/exhibition)exhibition, and after going for dinner/drinks down that way last night I really fancy spending some time exploring, there's the arty stuff and the NFT's free archive etc, but it does feel a bit unimaginative to go " I shall do what she did"!

Ooh I've been wanting to get one of those, want me to buy it off you (or swap it for something you actually like?!)

Hmmm, the one I have is this (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-Pure-Fi-Express-Portable-speakers/dp/B0015S7YP0/ref=pd_sbs_ce_18). I think I might test it over the weekend and make my mind up, and while I think having a non-computer based way of charging it is a good idea I'm not sure I'll use it much I think I should at least try it out, if I still don't want it then and you do - ie the model's ok for you then that sounds grand. What do you think?

Cool - it's definitely something I would use. See whether you like it and if you decide you don't then I'll happily take it.

Ach, but I only went cos I read about it in the paper - everyone has to find out about things from somewhere, and it's not copying just to go to the same places, listen to bands cos someone recommends them etc. Your experience of a thing is always your own, even if it's a thing that loads of people have already experienced.

(I've been telling myself this a bit recently, cos I'm going to see My Bloody Valentine next week and about 10 people on my friendslist have already been, and I'm only really going cos Iain loves them. Heh.)

I spose so, I still have that childish schooly thing of "copying" being like the worst thing evah in the back of my head! I mean its hardly SWF to go to the same exhibition, and it all looked vv exciting last night and ooh lots of graffiti and stuff to explore down there, its been ages since I went down that way. Probably not since my orchestra thing played in the Festival Hall.

(Its weird to shake off isn't it. Then again lots of my favouritest music is stuff I've been given/dragged along to. If it weren't for Rufus Wainwright's many, many appearances up North i wouldn't know Martha Wainwright...etc)

Hehe, actually my sister left a frantic message on my phone the other night saying "Dad tells me you're doing a doctorate! What? why? What's going on? You big copier!" She actually said 'copier'!

But yeah - it's a great exhibtion, and you'd be going cos it's great, not cos I went there innit.

Haha, that's great!! So middle schooley.

Well exactly, i might not have noticed it was on or thought yes yes that looks excellent go if you hadn't said but its because I thought it looked really intriguing and I picked up lots of brochures and now I want to go to everything ever. I even want to go watch Lemn Sissay speak poetry from the roof, and do the treasure hunt and umm perhaps I am a bit over-excited :)
